Maya Animation Deformers

Nadeem | Jul 20, 2011 | Comments 0

This video tutorial is about how to use deformer in Maya animation. The animation is generated with the help of character modeling. So we can say that characters are important for 3d animation. There are several ways of animation but general and most useable method is with key frame setting. You can create and control animation with set driven keys. The object or still characters can be moved with simple key frames setting. There animation creating tools and commands are located on the lower side of workspace. At first, the key frames are with default setting so it is better for you to adjust the key frame setting at first according to the requirement of your scene. The changing in the position of any body or object can be seen easily on timeline. Once you created the animation then you can play it using radio button system at the straight way with key frame setting. The following tutorial is about deformers in animation in Maya, when you are going to create animation in 3d s max, then you use modifier instead of deformers.

Deformers also work like modifier and we use then for modifying of object and then animation. These deformers are built-in Maya and We have many types of deformers in Maya. For example the most popular type is non-linear deformers as you will see in this tutorial. Other deformers are very special as well, such as lattice deformer, cluster deformer, soft modification deformer, jiggles deformer, and much more. The deformers not only control the main object but also control subdivision and component level of object.
