Understanding Air Field in Maya

This free video tutorial tells how to assign Air field to 3D Object in Maya Dynamics.


Text Tutorial of Understanding Air Field

In this text and image tutorial you will learn how to use Air Field in your scene. Field is Maya’s Dynamics sub menu. Air field can be used in different purposes like flying balloons, leafs, papers, hitting smokes and mostly simulating 3d clothes.

Let’s start ………………. !!

  • Open this file …. “Downlaods/balloon.zip” ……… image002 in your Maya 2009, if you don’t have 2009 then use your own object.
  • Select the balloon which one is not moving with others. See the image below

  • Change the Menu set to Dynamics
  • Go to Field Menu select Air

  • Play the animation
  • Stop the Animation
  • Select the balloon, the same balloon again if it is not selected
  • In channel box change different values and increase your experience with Air Field

  • Change Translate X attribute to 1
  • Play the animation
