NURBS Modeling Introduction in Maya
This tutorial is concerning with NURBS,which is computer graphical application for creating curves and surface for representing in free hand modeling with elasticity. NURBS are mathematical modeling application which helps one to study and analysis the surface of the object. Either it is its interior side or exterior. For example the designers use this application mostly because they care of every side and surface of the object. The NURBS are modified with respect to its components. There are much difference between NURBS and polygonal components. The channel box is used for changing values of components. The NURBS is in fact short form of Non-Uniform Rational Based Splines. NURBS were used in CAD and other construction purpose software because it is thought suitable for designing and mapping function. But later on it was brought in use in other graphics purposes. The connecting point of control polygon is called control point. Here you can also understand the concept of polygonal components. The sides of polygon are called edges, the connection of edges are called vertices whereas the centre of all vertices are called face. The same are defined in NURBS modeling. The experts want an easy and quick modeling within real time; therefore they use NURBS in their modeling. Even you can create human modeling using NURBS with accuracy. The major difference between poly model and NURBS model that polygon is drawn in straight line whereas the NURBS are curved in shape. The NURBS modeling is drawn with CV curve.
