This is second tutorial about the difference between NURBs and Polygons. There are two types of modeling in Maya, NURBs modeling and Polygonal modeling. These two types of modeling are directly related to main menu setting. You can adopt them by choosing from main menu setting. If you are old user, then you will be definitely familiar of surfaces. These surfaces are now known as NURBs in latest version of Maya. The method to create these modeling is totally different from each other. The NURBs modeling is created with CV curves which are located in create menu drop down list. Here you can create CV curves at first and then apply different commands on it. You can modify it for different kind of modeling. Maya offers you different commands for modifying object. Hence the users astonish of its wonderful modeling. On the contrary, polygonal modeling is created with polygonal primitives. These primitives are located on the top of user interface in shelf menu. You may also find these primitives from polygon menu drop down list. It offers you a lot of primitives which can be modified with object manipulation tools. These tools are located on left side of user interface. The object manipulation tools deal with move, rotate and scale tool.
