We have completed modeling of our robot character in previous tutorials (Modeling a Robot and Rendering Using V-Ray Part 1 and Part 2). In this video tutorial we are going to prepare our robot character for rendering using V-Ray. You have to load V-Ray rendering engine into you Maya software for this part. If you are familiar V-ray you know that V-Ray has its own Materials for texturing objects. When you will install v-ray into your system it installs its Material into Maya and you can find v-ray materials in Hypershade. V-Ray is very powerful rendering engine for getting realistic output of you 3d graphics. Lights and shadow play very important role in rendering process. V-Ray rendering engine has built-in Global Illumination Settings for overcome at this issue. So, we are going to apply v-ray material to our robot character and then we will start rendering job.
Our robot character is completed. Now, we will apply special v-ray material to our model. For our convenience and for ease of work we will use Hypershade for applying materials to our character.
