The Camera with Aim option is a huge choice to track objects. In this video tutorial by Stuart Christensen you will learn the tricks of using a camera to track objects as they move through space. You will utilize a motion path to create an object move through the scene, and use the equal motion path to help aim the camera. Great stuff to know! This is part two of a two part series.

Some time when we are creating our scenes for animation we have to track one object with a second object. Suppose we have a car running on the road and chasing a plane flying in the sky. For this purpose Autodesk Maya has great tools. The Camera with Aim opportunity is a grand option to track objects. In this video we will discuss and show you how to use camera to track objects in the scene as they move through space. This demonstration is split into to two parts.
We will start with blank scene. After we will create some cube and use them as buildings. Then we create some paths for our objects that’s will travel on these pats. We will use a Motion Path to animate an object in the scene as well we will use exact motion paths to aim the camera which we are using in our scene.

Maya physical sun and sky, Here in this tutorial we have a scene of complex modeling. The scene is expressing a model of house and there we are required to assign texture material. We shall also add physical sun and sky in our scene by using useful and integrated application of Maya.

If we look at this model, we come to know that it is made up of different polygonal and NURBs primitives and they are merged mutually at the same time beautifully. Render the scene at this stage and see what the scene has result about lighting and shading requirements. If there are problems or lack of any requirement, then add it properly.

The object setting are much important in such modeling, this modeling is mostly made up of NURBs primitives, so shading will require deep intention and practice about these NURBs modeling object. Now use mental ray application for rendering, so go to render set up and choose mental ray as source of rendering.

This time the rendering result will be quite different. In render set up, there is an option with the name of Environment. Click on this sign and it will extract the properties. Here we can create or delete the affects. Click on physical sun and sky option. Convert the model in wireframe mode and the sun affect will be there inside the mode.

Move it outside and place it at horizontal position. Render the scene and check the outcome. Adjust attribute value from the shading list and finally we shall get the result that we want. So in this way, physical sun and sky are included in the scene. Moreover get help from following video tutorial.

Here you can learn about shading material and feature in Maya projects. You will also learn here about its attributes and hyper shade. The shading feature is indirectly related to rendering process. The shading and rendering are both necessary for each other. You can choose material for shading from material editor and also modify them by changing their attribute. In other words, shading is brought by changing attribute from attribute editor. The assigned material in such case is called shading. Maya provides you many sphere like shapes that are called materials. Each material has its own attributes and you can make a great thing with a little change in the attributes of materials in Maya.

For example you have a mechanical object let’s say it is a Piston and you need to render it. You will have to assign some material to it. Without doing this you can never get an image of shining steel object. You will have to assign the Blinn material sphere like shape to it and then you will make alterations in its attributes in attribute editor for accomplishing your task. For more detail, Maya rendering category link is given in the bottom. So click on the link and get desired information.

From this tutorial of Maya, we are going to teach you about 2D and 3D painting techniques. We shall also guide you about converting of 2D object into 3D using some particular steps. You can paint 2D object in this way either single object or whole scene. 2D is very well-known term which is used in fine art. As for concern about 2D painting in Maya, it provides great canvas for 2D painting. The painting that is created with this method is considered as valuable and richest painting ever. As everybody knows that fine art is directly related to imaginative concepts and ideas, and one can creates wonderful piece of art just with the help of thinking. In Maya painting, “Think and Paint” method is used because there are unlimited brush using there and it is difficult for you to decide which brush is used or not. Mel script has solved the problem and it is in written form by experts. It gives you chance to work fluently in your project and make your own paint brush in Maya. It is advantage of this painting that thousand of paints can be created with just one stroke. So try this project of 2D and 3D painting of Maya at home.

IN this tutorial we shall show you about advance rendering. The advance rendering deals with some complex kind of rendering to meet the requirement of scene. The mental ray is the best choice for perfect rendering in this matter. Mental ray and V-ray is two advanced and sophisticated rendering engine for rendering of your scene. The scene sometimes requires to maintain Global Illumination and Radiocity of your scene. So in this case these rendering engine are chosen for complex type of rendering. So this tutorial describes about this rendering engines. Advanced rendering enables the users to understand the difficulties of the project while performing or improving the scene. Therefore we shall try our best to teach you will complete details.

If you are average user of Maya, then you will definitely familiar with simple rendering. It only describes home feature of rendering with limited aspects. But advanced rendering is much different and apart from simple traditional rendering process. Rendering allows you to customize the scene and improve the quality of image. Here you can get benefit to personalize the image and modify its shape at your own choice. You can assign material, texture and color to the model of your taste. The advanced rendering provides you opportunity to hide the weak points and cover up with alternative sources.

Here in this tutorial you will learn about how to assign Camera and hence work in Maya projects. The cameras are of two types, the general camera and targeted camera. The simple camera is used for general animation to view the location of scene whereas the targeted camera is used to fix at specific position. The simple camera is also used for walkthrough scene; walkthrough scenes are such scene which demonstrates interior vision of any building or other architectural design. The camera actually works for the vision of model and it is positioned on the horizontal way of model. Suppose you are going to create a cartoon rocket, when it launches, how rocket find its own way? It’s quietly amazing. But the fact is other way round and it is all because of camera application. The camera is attached with the model which goes through the rocket while flying in the air or space. The cameras does not follow the model but it is just like a lens which holds vision control setting. In other words, you can say it as eyes for that model. In rocket model, the assigned camera follows the rocket with respect to motion of the object.
The texture tells us about many detail about character model, and other material either inside the object geometry or over the object. To demonstrate the project, go to polygonal primitives and choose polygonal plane. Now right click on plane and go down menu and choose material as limbert. It will open aside with the workspace, and first of all don’t forget to rename the default name of the material as limbert. There is varieties of commands in the drop down side and allows you to modify and assign material to your selected object. Every command has a checkbox in front of it where you can modify it by putting values for them. Choose new color of your own choice and also browse image for your drives. Minimize the Maya scene for a while and then open it into Adobe Photoshop textures and edit it properly according to your need. When you have done this job, again go back to Maya and reload the scene. Now render the scene and make sure that there is proper light and shading combination in the scene. The rendering will simple render may take few minutes so don’t worry, just wait and watch the result in this video.

This tutorial has enough stuff for the new learner of Maya textures in 3d modeling and animation. Maybe the new learner could not learn and understand this texturing process at this stage, therefore it is suggested them to read about previous tutorials at first and then follow up this tutorial. Anyhow, if you have learnt the Maya at this stage and wanted to learn about how to texture the model in Maya then this tutorial will be helpful to you in this matter. You can download the model from any popular site and use it for practice at home. It will be helpful for you also in 3d modeling and rigging in human 3d modeling. The texturing actually gives your model smooth shape. Here in this tutorial, we have 3d building in our scene and we are said to texture it well. It is great time for all of you learners to learn this concept along with this texturing of 3D building. For 3d building texturing we shall use three texture materials, Blinn, Lambert and Phong and they are absolutely perfect according to the scene demand. The house’s wall is textured with Blinn material because we want these walls with reflective look. Sometime it happens that you don’t have texture material in your collection then you can download it from online sites. For more detail the given video link is just for your convenience so click on this link and watch this concept visually.

If you are familiar with Maya tools, then you will definitely create modeling in quick time.We have already pre-made table modeling in our scene and it is just with default color setting. We shall assign material and color for this table modeling and hence we shall render the scene for the accomplishment of our scene model. So after importing scene, go for its material selection. Choose an empty blinn and then assign material to it corresponding with table frame setting. To avoiding from the time consumption , we have already selected material for our model.
Choose that material and then right click on it where you can see that it will ask you to assign material to the selection. Once you have done that then you can take test rendering of your scene model and you see it is looking pretty much better. Go to bump material setting and choose this material for bump mapping, you can manage it in Adobe Photoshop. Here you can adjust the level of the object and color setting according to your scene demand. For more detail about modeling of simple table, check out this video tutorial with detailed information.
