Today in this Urdu/Hindi tutorial lesson you will learn how to create 3d effect of the sunlight coming from a window in 3d modeling and animation software Maya 2011. This lesson is actually 3d texturing and rendering lesson in which you will learn how to texture and how to render in the mental ray format. Mental ray is an excellent rendering format but it is heavy as well. Maya is great 3d modeling animation and rendering software with its realistic 3d effects. Therefore it is widely use in 3d architectural designing, film making etc. for visualization.
Create a polygon cube and scale large up to grid size go to edit mesh and click on edit edge loop tool, create two edge loops horizontally and two vertically now move these edge loops so that they create a rectangular area for window area modeling. Then select the window area face in the face mode right click and select the face mode and then delete it. Now you have a room with a window hole.
Create a polygon sphere and move it to the one corner of the room 3d model. Then right click on the sphere and choose assign new material, select Phong texture, this will make you object like glass.
Now select the floor area and give a blinn texture and in the color attribute you can apply any type of color or surface texture to your floor.
Then go to rendering setting and select the mental ray, and then you will see Physical Sun and Sky option click on create.
Go to create menu in the main menu and click on the Light option and then click on area light option to improve the area light of the room.
Select the area light move beside window and using rotate tool rotate it to fix along the axis of window with scale tool scale to the size of the window.
Click on rendering option and you will see the rendering results of the sunlight coming from the window in a room.
