Video-Maya Shelf for Maya beginners

Nadeem | Jul 04, 2011 | Comments 0

This is introductory tutorial of Maya software application. You can learn here about almost every kind of basic and complex concept of Maya modeling and animation in oral and visual tutorials form. The models are created with polygonal primitives which are located on shelf menu and polygonal primitive. These primitives can be modified for the sake of any modeling. The modification of object is handled by manipulation tools of objects. These tools are placed on the right side of workspace. There are three basic tools of object manipulation, move, rotate and scale. Each of them has specific use in certain conditions. Shelf menu is generally used as easy access to Maya tools. These tools are very easy to use in Maya projects and there are different tabs above the shelf menu and each tab has separate primitives in it. Sometime the shelf menu is closed for user interface customization. You can reopen the shelf menu by click on the dotted line in the right side of menu. When you choose any primitives from shelf menu, it lies in the middle of grid. You can scale, rotate and move it according to the requirement of your scene. You can render the simple primitive by selecting it and then choose render option. The rendering of your scene shows the real and actual look of your character. So that’s it, it was just simple introduction of shelf menu in Maya.
